These very collectible Italian tin Ex voto’s (icon) represent the flaming Sacred Heart, thanksgiving for a grace received. The mounted centre detail is Madonna and child. They make beautiful Christmas decorations!
The Ex Voto, are devotional objects, which were posted in the churches, or next to Holy images, to thank for a received grace “miracolo”, of healing from an infermity.
The tradition of posing Ex-Votos is still alive in Italy, particularly in the Naples area.
