A highly decorative pair of late 19th century Chelsea Style porcelain Bocage (leafy background) figurines (likely a Shepherd and Shepherdess). In the style of 18th century Chelsea pottery, the figures are mounted on scrolled bases, and are beautifully hand painted with gilt accents. There are some old repairs as the photos show but they are still wonderfully decorative. I particularly love the costuming on the male figure….so flamboyant! Price is for the pair.
