A charming oil on canvas “Portrait of a young boy” by Mecislas De Rakowsky 1944 (1887 – 1947). Mounted within a Gilt gesso frame. Born in Poland, Rakowky was educated at the Jan Matejiko Academy of Fine Arts and lived in Poland and Belgium. He specialised in Polish Impressionist and Modern painting..
