A highly collectible mid century handblown art glass bowl, red glass cased within clear glass which has bubble decoration (bullicante). The bullicante technique involves the insertion of several layers of bubbles into thick glass. The bubbles are inserted in a grid pattern and they appear at regular intervals giving an effervescent appearance to the glass articles. This is a glass colouring technique used by the traditional murano artisans. This very decorative bowl is from the 1950s – 1960’s era. Useful as a candy bowl or for jewellery.
