An elegant French Art Deco modernist silver plate champagne ice bucket or wine cooler by well renowned French silversmiths Maison Deschamps Freres, Paris, (1930 – 1939). Refined modernist design with twin geometric applied handles and incised stripe lines to the base. Marked underside with Freres hallmarks. Wear to the interior as shown. It would have had an insert to keep the bottle in an upright position and a lid. (I have seen this very special bucket in. a similar condition available in the US for $3750.00 NZD).
