A large striking French gilt and patinated 19th century bronze figural chandelier in the Louis XV style. The scrolled gilt bronze body has five branched arm lights with floral frosted glass shades, while the upper stem is surmounted with a pair of black-patinated bronze Putti and a salamander. The chandelier was originally a gas chandelier and it has been re wired to NZ standards. This is a chandelier that really requires viewing as the gilt bronze positively glows and it has such wonderful details.
