This antique French silver-plated carving set, dating from around 1890, includes a large knife and fork. The fork features a finger guard shaped like a stylised leaf, adding an elegant touch to the piece. Both the knife blade and fork are made of steel, although the knife blade does show some oxidation spots. The blade is marked “PARIS,” and both utensils have hollow handles for a comfortable grip and so they were not too heavy to use. The set comes housed in an emerald green velvet and silk-lined green leatherette box, which, while in fair condition, still adds to the overall appeal of this antique set.
