A charming large antique Louis XVI style photo frame c.1920 with bevelled glass and brass bow cartouche at the top. (Some small chips to bottom right of the glass and at the top). The black and white photo is included which is of Helen Jerome Eddy (February 25, 1897 – January 27, 1990) who was a motion picture actress from New York City. Images on paper were first invented in France in the 1880’s. Those treasured personal images, were generally printed by professional photographers and subsequently displayed in graceful brass and beveled glass frames like this example.
