A series of six vintage framed original steel plate etchings of the Bavarian town ,Rothenburg ob der Tauber (in Germany) signed by Ernst Geissendorfer (1908 – 1993). The town is well known for its medieval architecture and the artist Geissendörfer completed several etchings of its historic buildings such as half-timbered houses which line the cobblestone lanes of its old town. The town walls include many preserved gate houses and towers. St. Jakob’s Church houses an intricate, late Gothic altarpiece by woodcarver Tilman Riemenschneider.
