This is a delightful find for any Napoleon collector: a rare complete set of twelve instalment puzzle postcards. c.1904. Each piece captures significant moments in the life of Napoleon Bonaparte, with the central image designed to fit into his iconic portrait pose. Crafted in France, these cards feature original stamps and are designed to resemble authentic photographs with hand tinting. They are presented in an ebonised and gilt frame with the original old wavy glass present. The back features an antique wax seal. The back panel translated from French to English is stamped Jacquinot Fine colours and articles for Painting and drawing.
