This is a striking and very collectable vintage Murano Sommerso triple cased vase c.1960 (likely Seguso). It is shaped like an elongated teardrop with a long neck and retains its original label “Genuine Venetian Glass Made in Murano Italy”. The hand blown glass is what is called triple cased: with a main internal body colour of darker red, which is cased with a layer of clear ochre yellow and then finished with the final layer of clear glass. It is in excellent condition and would make a great gift.
