A matching pair of spherical paperweights on stems with twisted knops. The name sulphide comes from the use of sulphur in the early manufacturing of these artistic gems in the late 18th/early 19th century. The sulphide within is usually made from a glass paste and/or clay (ceramic) material that are completely encased within the glass.
