A wonderful 19th century mahogany astral glazed vitrine bookcase, with the interior in red shot silk c.1880 – 1900. The cabinet is topped by a moulded overhanging cornice sitting above two full length glazed doors and side panels. What I found very special about this cabinet is that the sides are astral glazed as well rather than just the front doors which means the items displayed inside have more natural light. This cabinet has five adjustable shelves and has a working lock and key. The cabinet stands on bracket feet.
