A late 19th century gilt brass adjustable bible stand.In the centre of the stand is a white flower with a central red glass cabochon. The use of a white flower serves as a symbol of purity. The solid brass plate on which a bible can be displayed shows a hand-engraved cross and rests on scrolled feet.
