A late 19th century gilt brass adjustable bible stand. The stand has wonderful detail, with four cloisonné cartouches of Saints and a central enamel IHS cartouche surmounted with ruby red glass cabochons. The solid brass plate on which a bible can be displayed shows a hand-engraved cross.
