Shown here, from a Parisian Gallery is a stamped recast bronze sculpture of “The Hand of God” (1917), Rodin’s last work was of a female torso held here by a casting of Rodin’s own hand. It is said Amede Bertault took the hand cast three weeks before the sculptors death.  The human and especially the female body was the primary source of Rodin’s inspiration. The female torso symbolises his life-long drive to impart form and life to clay.
