A beautiful antique French copper daubiere/roasting pan (also perfect for stewing and braising) with very rare nice dovetailing down the middle side and around bottom. The lid has a brass handle secured with copper rivets.
Daube is a classic Proven�al (or more broadly, French) stew made with inexpensive beef braised in wine, vegetables, garlic, and herbes de Provence, and traditionally cooked in a daubi�re, a braising pan.
