A superb selection of Chateauneuf-Du-Pape later painted painted zinc grape harvesting Hotte’s c.1930 from the Chateaneuf-du-Pape wine region of France – one remaining
Chateauneuf-du-Pape is a historic town in the South of France which means ‘new castle of the Pope’ and the town was chosen as the new home of the Pope of Avignon’s court in the 14thc.
These pieces depict the vineyard crest (later painted) and also the original carrying straps on the reverse. These could be easily removed if required.
The carriers are ideal as stand alone decorative items but also could be used as storage pieces for logs, papers etc.
